Custom Emotional Support Animal (ESA) ID Cards identify your animals as ESAs. Fully customized and printed on high quality, durable plastic (not laminated).
ESAs are not service animals. They have not been specially trained to perform a specific task for their owner/handler. They are used by individuals with mental-health related issues and generally been prescribed by a doctor or mental-health professional. ESAs are not entitled to the same level of accommodations as service animals (such as being allowed in restaurants). They are, however, allowed certain accommodations in travel and housing, provided the owner/handler can provide documentation from their mental health care provider.
Your letter from your doctor/mental healthcare provider is your primary source of documentation as it identifies you as a person in need of an ESA. Our customized ESA ID cards document your dog as the ESA animal and are not required by law – but they do make it easier when dealing with airlines, landlords and others who are not aware of ESAs.
